Greek Yogurt Parfait
Recipes · Breakfast · Recipe, Typed Supps
Layered yogurt, fruit, and crunch — most of the work is done by the fridge.
Allergens and patterns
Contains milk, tree nuts. Fits: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Halal, Kosher, Gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (200g) Greek Yogurt — The protein and calcium base of the whole dish — strained yogurt packs roughly double the protein of regular yogurt in the same volume.
- 1/2 cup (75g) Blueberries — Brings sweetness without added sugar, plus the anthocyanins blueberries are known for.
- a small handful (15g) Walnuts — Adds crunch and one of the few plant sources of omega-3 fat, balancing out an otherwise all-carb-and-protein bowl.
- 1 tbsp (10g) Chia Seeds — A gel-forming fibre that slows how fast the natural sugars in the fruit hit your bloodstream.
- a light drizzle Honey — The only added sugar in the glass, and a teaspoon of it is enough against fruit that is already sweet.
