Kefir Berry Bowl
Recipes · Breakfast · Recipe, Typed Supps
A breakfast built on a fermented drink with more microbial variety than most probiotic capsules.
Allergens and patterns
Contains gluten, milk. Fits: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Halal, Kosher.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250ml) Kefir — A fermented milk carrying a far wider range of bacterial and yeast strains than yogurt does.
- 1/2 cup (80g) Raspberries — One of the highest-fibre fruits there is — most of it in the seeds you cannot avoid eating.
- 1/3 cup (60g) Blueberries — Anthocyanins, and they hold their shape in liquid better than most berries.
- 1 tbsp, ground (12g) Flaxseed — Ground rather than whole, because whole flaxseed passes through you intact and gives up nothing.
- a sprinkle, raw (30g) Oats — Texture, and a little slow carbohydrate under all that liquid.
