Tropical Mango Smoothie
Recipes · Breakfast · Recipe, Typed Supps
Frozen mango, a splash of coconut water, and no ice needed anywhere.
Allergens and patterns
Contains milk. Fits: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Halal, Kosher, Gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 mango, frozen (180g) Mango — Frozen fruit is what makes a smoothie thick — ice only makes it cold and watery.
- 2 slices (100g) Pineapple — Acidity to cut the mango, and bromelain, the enzyme that makes fresh pineapple sting your tongue.
- 1/2 cup (120g) Greek Yogurt — Protein, and the reason this is breakfast rather than a juice.
- 2/3 cup (150ml) Coconut Water — The liquid, with a useful amount of potassium and far less sugar than fruit juice.
- 1 tbsp (10g) Chia Seeds — Fibre, to slow down what is otherwise a lot of fruit sugar at once.
