Protein Smoothie Bowl
Recipes · Breakfast · Recipe, Typed Supps
Thick enough to eat with a spoon, not drink through a straw.
Allergens and patterns
Contains gluten, milk, peanuts. Fits: Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Halal, Kosher.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (150g) Greek Yogurt — Gives the bowl its thickness and most of its protein in one ingredient.
- 1/2 banana, frozen (60g) Banana — Freezing it beforehand is what makes the bowl thick enough to hold toppings instead of turning into a drink.
- 1/2 cup (80g) Strawberries — More vitamin C by weight than an orange, and they blend into a natural pink base.
- 1 tbsp (16g) Peanut Butter — Adds fat and extra protein so the bowl keeps you full rather than spiking and crashing.
- a small sprinkle (8g) Chia Seeds — A crunchy topping that also adds fibre and omega-3.
- a small sprinkle (15g) Oats — Adds texture on top and a little more slow-release carbohydrate.
