Last night’s quinoa, warmed in milk, doing a completely different job.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dry (360g cooked) Quinoa — A seed with all nine essential amino acids, which is rare enough in a plant food to be worth a breakfast.
- 3/4 cup (200ml) Milk — Warmed through with the quinoa until it turns creamy.
- 1 banana, sliced (100g) Banana — Sweetness and potassium, and it needs no cooking.
- a small handful (25g) Almonds — Vitamin E, magnesium, and the crunch the bowl is otherwise missing.
- 1 tsp Honey — Optional, and worth tasting before you add it.

Method
- Warm the cooked quinoa with the milk over a low heat for five minutes, stirring.
- Spoon into bowls.
- Top with banana and almonds, and honey if it wants it.
