Sardines on Crackers
Recipes · Snack · Recipe, Typed Supps
A tin, a cracker and a lemon. About 25g of protein and a week of B12 in four minutes.
Allergens and patterns
Contains fish. Fits: Pescatarian, Kosher, Gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 tin, drained (120g) Sardines — Eaten with the bones, which are soft enough not to notice and are why a tin carries roughly a third of a day’s calcium.
- 4 (40g) Crackers or Rice Cakes — Something plain and crisp. The fish is doing all of the work.
- a squeeze Lemon — Oily fish without acid sits heavily, and this is the whole seasoning.
- a small handful (5g) Parsley — Chopped over the top, mostly so it does not look like a tin on a cracker.
- a grind (1g) Black Pepper — Generously.
